Social Economy
The social economy plays a key role in the transition towards the circular economy, namely in the collect, sorting and reuse of a large scope of resources in the end of their first lifecycle.
By 2019, existing or new social businesses will have expanded from their ongoing existing activities to a larger number of circular economy activities and will be moving up the added value chain. They will have helped to create new industries and economic activities throughout Brussels and will have been supported in taking risks on innovative professions. As a result of their characteristics, they will be considered the natural partners of the circular economy
